Lifting Slings

Lifting slings are an essential tool in various industries, including construction, shipping, and manufacturing. They are used to lift and move heavy loads and materials on a regular basis. Proper selection, usage, and regular inspection are critical to worker safety and successful lifting.

There are several types of slings, including.

  • Wire rope slings
  • Chain slings
  • Synthetic web slings
  • Synthetic round slings

Each type of sling has its own characteristics and benefits. Wire rope slings are strong and durable, while chain slings are resistant to abrasion and damage. Synthetic slings, such as web slings and round slings, are lightweight and easy to handle.

At Contec Wire Rope we can fabricate wire rope slings up to 1-1/2” diameter, in-house. Larger diameter slings can also be provided with in just a few days.
